Normally I’m not a fan of New Year’s resolutions. However, 2010 seems like a year to start fresh. I will not call them resolutions… I will call them goals. Goal 1: Read 52 books this year. Today I had to get fillings and Dexter got a flu shot. So the Robson household pretty much came to a standstill. The only thing I accomplished was tripping on nitrous oxide. I did also did some comparison shopping for Spanish language software. I’ve been working on surprises for my twin nephews. I’m hoping to have them finished by this weekend, and afterwards I will post a tutorial. It’s been a fun and easy project. Ah, I’m back from a long blog-abandonment. I just needed a break from all the blogging and twittering and posting. And a break from trying to make a profit on my crafting. In the meantime I’ve had the opportunity to create for the fun of it, and it’s been wonderful :) Oh, and today is my birthday. I have 5 more minutes of birthday! Often sewing makes me feel like I’ve done something great. I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished, and everything turns out wonderful. But, ugh… sometimes sewing can become a near nightmare. Someone recently mentioned to me the importance of viewing your life as building toward something. Not just scattered, random events, just living life until you die. But truly meaningful, purposeful living. I know I tend to forget to live like that. My tiny baby boy will soon be four months old. It’s unbelievable to me that I’m typing those words. What’s nearly as hard for me to accept is the fact that even after 3.5 months, I still don’t have everything together.
